<p>The Joint Protection Unit (BSZ) manufactured by KM GROUP is used in a wide range of fields. The units can be applied in:</p>

<li>Electrochemical protection systems for the external surfaces of underground steel main pipelines used for transportation of natural gas, oil, and petroleum products, as well as their branches.</li>
<li>Pipelines of compressor, gas distribution, pumping and booster stations, as well as oil depots.</li>
<li>Critical components of oil and gas facilities, including tanks and well casing strings.</li>
<li>Integrated gas and oil treatment facilities in underground gas storage sites.</li>
<li>Main pipelines connected to pipelines of thermal power plants and other industrial sites that require corrosion protection.</li>
<li>Systems for protection against soil corrosion of underground steel oil pipelines, gas pipelines, vessels, tanks, and other utility networks and structures in accordance with GOST R 51164 and GOST 9.602.</li>

<p>Joint protection units are designed for operation and protection of underground utilities and metal structures against electrochemical воздействия. In joint cathodic protection schemes, the joint protection unit (BSZ) performs the function of electrochemical protection of underground metal structures. They prevent the negative influence of neighboring underground metal structures on each other and are intended for electrochemical protection.</p>
<p>Various design types of BSZ joint protection units allow distribution of the rectifier output current among the protected structures and setting the optimal protective current for each of them. <div class="title-h2">Operating Conditions</div>
<p>When installing the BSZ protection unit, depending on the design, their operation is ensured under the following conditions:</p>
<ul>
<li>Outdoor installation (placement category 1 according to GOST 15150);</li>
<li>Installation in shelters (placement category 2 according to GOST 15150).</li>
</ul>
<p>BSZ units are manufactured in climatic versions U or UHL, corresponding to placement categories 1 or 2 in accordance with GOST 15150, thus maintaining operability under the influence of environmental climatic factors.</p>
<ul>
<li>For version U with placement categories 1 and 2, operability is ensured at temperatures from +45°C to −45°C;</li>
<li>For version UHL with placement categories 1 and 2, operability is ensured at ambient temperatures from +40°C to −60°C and atmospheric pressure from 84.0 to 106.7 kPa (from 630 to 800 mm Hg).</li>
</ul>
<p>Taking into account operating conditions and custom configurations, BSZ units are installed at the following facilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>in an electrical cabinet (Sh) providing the required enclosure protection level;</li>
<li>as part of a structure associated with a test post (hereinafter referred to as ICP);</li>
<li>in a waterproof enclosure (V) with protection rating IP67.</li>
</ul>
<p>In addition, they may include the following elements:</p>
<ul>
<li>Digital or analog indicators, representing built-in measuring instruments or current monitoring devices;</li>
<li>Devices integrated with corrosion monitoring systems;</li>
<li>Other additional devices.</li>
</ul>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The modernized diode-resistor unit BDRM.KMG is intended for simultaneous protection of several (from one to six) parallel or intersecting, electrically isolated underground steel pipelines and other structures against electrochemical corrosion, for use as:</p>
<ul>
<li>potential-equalizing polarization jumpers;</li>
<li>a load polarized element in sacrificial protection of pipelines and in joint protection of pipelines with protective casings;</li>
<li>for distribution and regulation of the output current of a cathodic protection station (CPS).</li>
</ul>
<p>BDRM is installed:</p>
<ul>
<li>to regulate protective current in areas of parallel routing of underground utilities protected by cathodic protection station(s);</li>
<li>at crossing or convergence points of underground utilities having their own cathodic protection systems, to equalize the potentials of underground structures.</li>
</ul>
<p>BDRM allows regulation of the protective current of parallel or intersecting utilities relative to the underground structure directly connected to the CPS.</p>
<p>The diode-resistor unit (BDRM) is manufactured in the following versions: BDRM-10, BDRM-25, BDRM-50, climatic category UHL, placement category 1 in accordance with GOST 15150-69, for operation at ambient temperatures from minus 60°C to plus 40°C with relative air humidity up to 98% at an ambient temperature of 25°C.</p>
<p>Installation and operation of the products must be carried out in accordance with the approved and currently valid industry regulatory, technical, and design documentation for electrochemical corrosion protection and grounding systems.</p>
<p>BDRM is a device with discrete current regulation. The regulation method is manual. The product is manufactured in several versions and is divided into those built into the ICP.KMG post or installed in a metal enclosure.</p>
