										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Magnesium anodes PM-20 must be purchased for the protection of underground metal utilities. They are most commonly used when laying gas and oil pipelines. PM anodes provide reliable protection of metal structures against corrosion damage.</p>
<p>PM-20 is a special magnesium alloy that can be packaged in a cotton bag with an activator composition. Two modifications of the model are available for sale. One is supplied in a bag, the other without it. Each is equipped with a terminal for cable connection. PM-20 can be ordered with any cable length.</p>
<p>Installation of PM is performed in a trench or borehole. The anode is then covered with soil and compacted. Models with a bag and activator must be additionally moistened with water. Some types of PM can be installed under tank bottoms. The activator contains:</p>

<li aria-level="1">Bentonite clay – 50% of the composition;</li>
<li aria-level="1">Construction gypsum – 25% of the composition;</li>

<p>Magnesium anodes consist of a magnesium alloy placed in a cotton bag, supplemented with a special activator. The anode has a terminal for cable connection, with the cable length specified when ordering. The customer can select the required cable length and order PM-15 in one of the available modifications.</p>
<p>PM installation is performed in a borehole or trench. To ensure good contact, the surrounding space is compacted. The activator is activated by adding water during installation. Magnesium anodes are used when laying pipelines in locations that are difficult to access for maintenance, such as under water, in swampy areas, or beneath railways.</p>
<p>The final order price depends on the selected product model, additional cable parameters, and other customer requirements. The service life of the anode depends on the aggressiveness of the soil in which it is placed, averaging around 15 years. <p>PM-10 is made of a magnesium alloy with a steel core inside. The anode is packaged in a cotton bag. The connecting cable is led outside. The product package includes a standard-length cable. PM-10 with a longer cable can be ordered at the customer’s discretion.</p>
<p>Stable operation of PM is ensured by an activator located in the cotton bag together with the magnesium alloy. This prevents the formation of insoluble films on the anode during use. The customer can choose one of two product modifications – PM-10 and PM-10(U). The abbreviation U indicates that the anode is supplied in a bag.</p>
<p>Installation of the anodes is performed into the soil. Along the pipeline, they are installed at a rate of 1 unit per 1–2 km. This is an average rate, depending on pipe diameter and route length. Group installation of 5–15 anodes at a time is also possible. The price of PM-10 depends on the selected modification and cable length.</p>

<p>PM-5 is installed directly into a borehole that must be drilled in advance. The bag with the magnesium casting is lowered to the required depth, covered with soil, and compacted around it. To activate the reaction, water must be added to the trench or borehole. The lead wire is connected via terminals to the control measurement point.
