										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Measurement of the condition of metal structures in soil is performed using reference electrodes, which can be purchased for measurements at various sites. Several versions of copper sulfate reference electrodes are available, both single-membrane and double-membrane.</p>
<h3>Description</h3>
<p>The ESMS-M2-VE model is an installation for monitoring the condition of underground metal objects. It should be ordered when accurate control of corrosion changes of pipelines and other steel structures is required. The modernized copper sulfate reference electrodes are equipped with an auxiliary electrode and have two membranes.</p>
<p>The operating principle consists in installing the device directly in the soil. The depth must correspond to the laying level of the object under inspection and must not be above the soil freezing depth. The conductors of the unit can be used as portable, and routed to a cover or to KIP.</p>
<p>Double-membrane modernized copper sulfate reference electrodes with auxiliary electrodes have the following advantages:</p>

<p>When working with the reference electrodes, no preparation or electrolyte filling is required. The device housing is capable of withstanding impacts and other moderate mechanical damage. When purchasing reference electrodes, the customer can independently choose the required cable length. The final order price depends on this parameter.</p>
<h3>Technical features</h3>
<p>Several modifications of reference electrodes are available. In addition to the basic version, the manufacturer offers the ESMS-VE-M model. This device is supplemented with an auxiliary electrode. The housing is filled with copper sulfate, with a pure copper electrode inside. Contact with the soil surface is maintained by an ion-exchange membrane located in the lower part. The auxiliary electrode is located on the side of the reference electrode housing.</p>
<p>Each cable has tags with information and lugs for connection to KIP. This makes installation, operation, and maintenance of the unit convenient and clear.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In cathodic protection systems against corrosion, modernized double-membrane copper sulfate reference electrodes based on a combined gel and solid electrolyte with an auxiliary electrode of type KMG-MES-02-(P-K)-(G-T)-VE-M manufactured by KM GROUP are used, which serve to measure polarization and total potentials of protected underground metal structures – they can be purchased on our website. According to GOST 9.602-2016, all underground metal structures must be provided with a protective polarized potential, the values of which can be measured using stationary long-life copper sulfate reference electrodes manufactured by KM GROUP. The product consists of the following elements:</p>

<h3>Technical description</h3>
<p>To ensure a stable electrolytic junction between the reference electrode and the soil electrolyte at the level of the lowest resistance required when performing specific measurements of protective potential values, an ion-exchange ceramic membrane with standardized porosity is used in the long-life reference electrode. The internal cavity of the outer housing is filled with a contact electrolytic mass based on bentonite clay. The inner housing of KMG-MES-02-(P-K)-(G-T)-VE-M is filled with a gel-like saturated copper solution in which the electrode is located in the form of a spiral made of pure refined copper.</p>
<p>Under certain soil conditions, such as increased soil resistivity, the so-called “arid soils”, the KMG-MES-02-(P-K)-(G-T)-VE-M reference electrode gains higher stability and durability due to the fact that the outer housing is filled with a special moisture-retaining electrolytic mass based on bentonite.</p>
<p>To ensure convenient installation and subsequent operation of the products, the cables of the reference electrode and the auxiliary electrode are equipped with cable lugs for connection to KIP.</p>
