Stationary reference electrodes are recommended for purchase when measurements on pipelines and underground metal structures are required. They are used to measure the potential of structures and to monitor the degree of corrosion protection.
Modernized copper sulfate reference electrodes of the MES-02-(P-K)-G-VE-M model are stationary. They are installed directly above the metal structure. The reference electrode is buried in the soil to a level below the soil freezing depth. Measurements performed using the device comply with GOST requirements.
The outer housing of the reference electrode is made of porous ceramic, which increases its service life. The material ensures stable operation of the unit in different soil types. The inner housing is surrounded by bentonite filler, which provides moisture retention. A spiral electrode made of pure copper is immersed in copper sulfate. This model can be ordered with measuring cables with a length of at least 2 meters.
The use of the auxiliary electrode allows measurements to be performed using the polarization current interruption method. The cables are equipped with terminals for convenient connection. Marking information tags on the cable outlets allow easier maintenance and operation of the unit.
Modernized copper sulfate reference electrodes consist of:
- outer and inner housings;
- bentonite filler;
- measuring cable;
- heat-shrink sleeve;
- cable lug.

Reference electrodes can be used in different soil types (arid, saline, etc.). The measuring cable in the device is load-bearing and is used for installation of the electrode.
