Description
It is used to ensure current flow from one common input to one or more outputs and is intended for simultaneous joint protection of several underground steel pipelines (structures) from a single cathodic protection station (CPS) in order to eliminate mutual influence of the potentials of adjacent pipelines (structures) by distributing the current and setting protective potentials on each underground pipeline (structure).
The BSZ also provides current flow from several inputs to one common output for summing and equalizing currents from individual elements of anode groundbeds or from groups of sacrificial anodes. The BSZ is a current regulator with smooth or discrete adjustment, with unidirectional conductivity and minimal internal voltage drop.
The BSZ design may have from 1 to 6 current channels with the rated DC current of each channel selected from the preferred series: 1, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 A.
At the Customer’s request, the rated channel current can be increased up to 50 A.
Scope of supply:
- four-sided reinforced information post made of frost-resistant, non-combustible special polymer composite with information markings;
- signal cap;
- terminal panel cover and access cover for additional devices with a lock (with the possibility of installing an external measuring instrument and tools in field conditions);
- terminal panel with contact clamps;
- window with an additional device;
- technological opening for cable entry;
- anti-vandal anchoring device.
