Description
The EPD is activated in the event of reverse polarity PIPELINE–RAILS, connecting them through semiconductor switches. The controlled EPD monitors the level of protective potential using a reference electrode, and if the potential exceeds the set value, the control system begins to limit the current from the pipeline to the rails.
The controlled EPD also allows setting the maximum drainage current regardless of other parameters.
