Description
Reference electrodes are special elements that can be purchased on our website with delivery. They are used to provide cathodic protection against corrosion and are applied for measuring potentials on operating underground steel pipelines and structures.
They are installed in the soil, with the depth determined by the laying level of the metal structure. The conductor is routed to a cover or to KIP; they can also be used as portable. The products are considered non-polarizable and have a long service life.
Product characteristics
The manufacturer ensures that stationary reference electrodes MES-01-(K)-G-VE-M are fully ready for operation. The operating organization does not need to prepare or fill the electrolyte in the future. The product has the following characteristics:
- Service life – from 30 years;
- Spreading resistance – up to 5 kΩ;
- Potential relative to a laboratory silver/silver chloride reference electrode – 100 mV with an accuracy of ±20;
- Cable outlet length – not less than 200 cm;
- Weight – not more than 2500 g.
To ensure the housing is sealed, materials with high impact resistance are used. The ceramic membrane with standardized porosity contains capillary channels that provide electrolytic contact with the soil. The length of the connecting cables is determined according to customer requirements. Mutual diffusion of the electrode electrolyte and the soil electrolyte is prevented by the presence of a special bentonite chamber. MES-01-(K)-G-VE-M can be ordered on our website with delivery.
